Thesis Research
Currently, I am conducting thesis research with the help of the Carl Goodson Honors Program at Ouachita Baptist University while pursuing my undergraduate degree in Christian Studies and Communications. This research is part of my undergraduate thesis project. Funded by the Honors program and the Garrett Ham research grant, I have been able to analyze a topic in the Scriptures.
The Gospel of Matthew in The Lindisfarne Gospel
That topic is Jesus’ interpretation of the Law of Moses. In Matthew 5, we see Jesus speak on numerous topics, many of which come from the Pentateuch and are direct quotes. However, Jesus doesn’t simply quote the Old Testament and move on; he continues to teach on the topic and seems to “intensify” the commands from the Law of Moses.
